Overseas Conferences and Travel

HKIS believes that opportunities to compete with our peer schools across Asia are a valued component of our high school experience. APAC, China Cup, JPAC & ACAMIS and various invitational tournaments allow our athletes to represent HKIS and themselves on the international stage. The goals of these competitions:APAC Handbook

Students who are selected for the Varsity or JV team are expected to travel and represent HKIS for all regular seasonal tournaments. Any conflicts with published tournament dates should be communicated by the student athlete to the coaching staff in writing prior to the conclusion of the tryout process. Students must maintain their academic eligibility in order to be included on the travel roster. Students who are included on the travel roster (APAC, China Cup, JPAC, ACAMIS & Invitationals) as a member of the Varsity or JV team are expected to make all necessary arrangements to attend the tournament. These arrangements might include securing a visa, updating travel documents and clearing all calendar conflicts. Costs associated with international travel will be paid by the student’s family.
